Our DEAREST friends Amy and Ian, whom we met on our honeymoon in Jamaica, celebrated their daughter's first birthday the weekend of the 8th, and we simply could not miss celebrating such a special and wonderful little girl.
They live in New York, and though they came to visit when Cooper was just born, we couldn't wait for Cooper to get reacquainted with them, and especially with his "cousin" Alex.
We spent with them a long weekend, and while we were there, we visited the sights at Manhattan. Scott and I had been before, but having Cooper tourist-ing around with us this time made it even more exciting. We visited the Rockefeller Christmas Tree and ice rink, FAO Schwarz Toy Store, Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and a bit of Central Park.
The Birthday party was outstanding and was also Cooper's very first birthday party to attend. It was at Cheeburger Cheeburger, with unlimited milkshakes, custom soda, burgers and fries. We truly enjoyed catching up with Ian and Amy's family members and friends that we'd met in times past. Alex was one loved little girl and was the queen of the day.
Out of all of the amazing things we did, Scott and I both agree that our favorite part of the weekend was the quality time we got to spend with our friends, who happen to also be Cooper's Godparents!
I think the following pictures speak for themselves on what a great weekend we had, so I'll let them do the talking.
